This semester, all of the Visual Resources student employees have been diligently learning new skills that are quickly bringing them into our digital image workflow.  Many have learned the ropes of the slide and flatbed scanners, and next semester we will train students to process the images they have been scanning.  Another exciting new initiative we have been working on is to produce a series of instructional videos that will help our patrons learn more about  image resources in the VR library. Elizabeth Mezzacappa, a MassArt film student, approached this initiative with enthusiasm!  She collaborated with the VR staff to decide on the video’s content and then  implement her design and audio using Adobe Captivate software.  Elizabeth hopes to create more videos throughout the summer that will focus on various aspects of our image collection and the services we provide in the VR library. This first video is a one minute tour of our new website.  Enjoy and stay tuned for more videos in the near future!
